Become a 2025 Colorado ENA General Assembly Delegate

Have you ever wondered who’s steering the future of emergency nursing? Do you have great ideas and want your voice heard at the national level? Here’s your opportunity to make a real impact.

What is the General Assembly?

The ENA General Assembly is the association’s annual business meeting, where hundreds of delegates from across the globe come together to discuss, debate, and vote on key bylaws and resolutions that shape the future of both ENA and the emergency nursing profession.

In 2025, the General Assembly will be held September 16–17 in New Orleans, LA. Colorado ENA will be sending a delegation to represent our state, and we are reserving space for first-time delegates to encourage new voices in our professional community.

What Does a Delegate Do?

A delegate is a representative who acts on behalf of the Colorado ENA membership. As a delegate, you will:

  • Attend the General Assembly business meeting - scheduled for August 8th, 2025 11a-3p (MST) in Aurora, CO

  • Vote on national ENA bylaw amendments and resolutions

  • Represent the interests and ideas of Colorado members

  • Participate in occasional special meetings, if needed

All travel and attendance costs are covered by ENA. If you're not quite ready to jump in as a full delegate, you can also apply to serve as an alternate, stepping in if a delegate becomes unavailable.

Why Apply?

This is an incredible opportunity to:

  • See how ENA operates at the national level

  • Network with emergency nurses and leaders from across the country

  • Be directly involved in decisions that affect your practice and profession

  • Contribute your unique voice and insights — especially as a first-time participant

How Are Delegates Selected?

Colorado ENA uses a delegate point system to guide a fair and transparent selection process. In the event of ties in points, lots shall be drawn. Points are awarded based on your professional involvement and are outlined on the application form.
